The Secret Journal. Hmm - you found it then. Probably either by complete chance or because I told you about it. This place is my secret place, and also a link to my online blog. Yes - Eibonvale Press and the Eibonvale Galleries have caught the blog virus. This page is a special little hidden place where things might happen. Where i can play what it means to be online. My blog is where for a while I will cast aside the professional look of most of this site and just relax. Tell you about what is going on in my life and my art and my small press. Most small publishers rather hide behind their website and the professional appearance. Not me. Artists can wear their hearts on their sleeves and have a remarkable low privacy requirement. After all, what are we doing in our books but parading our own hearts for all to see. Being an artist and a professional publisher are rather contradictory things, when you get right down to it. The mere act of artistic creation makes you into a public person. Conversely, the mere act of trying to keep up a professional appearance automatically turns you into a private person who is not permitted to be TOO honest and open. That seems to be one of the laws of the world. Here in the eibonvale websites i am trying to do both and meld the two together a bit - and this blog is a part of it. It was pure mischievousness that made me make this page so concealed. If you find this place, it might be worth checking back here, as I will be often updating this blog and this page. People may find my blog from elsewhere - there is nothing private about it. But this page - my own special easteregg is well hidden.
