Miss Peacock

David Rix

That was quicker than I thought! This is another in the 'English Gentleman' series and introduces, in a simple portrait, a second character to the Dramatis Personae.

The idea behind the picture was to create a quite enigmatic portrait - to create a female figure totally out of my imagination (no, she isn't real!). The fact that it is my most blatantly erotic piece to date just sort of . . . happened. Somewhat to my own surprise really. that blatantly exposed breast is not quite my usual style! And I don't know what these clothes are in aid of! Obviously something rather different to the scruffy bags she usually uses to lounge around the house in. The enigma that I originally intended before it got subsumed in lasciviousness is still there I hope in the relationships going on between the two protagonists - Miss Peacock and the English Gentleman (look in the mirror). They are not lovers. (Heaven forbid!) The knife could indicate that they are enemies - or that he is a victim of some sort - but the expression on her face belies that. Perhaps more will be revealed of these two surreal collaborators in future pictures or stories.
